The Music Ministry is thriving and growing at
First Southern Baptist Church.
Our emphasis and focus is on Jesus Christ!
God has blessed us with many talented individuals who choose
to use their talents for the glory of God. Please read
further for a full description of the areas of service in the
Music Ministry.
Adult ChoirOur adult choir is very active throughout the year. They are a non-auditioned group who sing for the 8:30 a.m. service each Sunday morning. Other singers in our the congregation and musical groups join the adult choir for our Easter Musical, Revival Choir, and Christmas Musical. We welcome anyone who would like to serve the Lord using their voice! Come join us in serving Christ and edifying the Saints. The Adult Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.
Worship EnsembleThe Worship Ensemble leads the worship for the 11:00 a.m. service each Sunday morning. We use typical 'band' instrumentation with winds. The music is high energy and upbeat with Jesus at the focal point! This ensemble joins together with the Adult Choir and Orchestra to present our Easter and Christmas musicals. An audition and interview to fill a spot on this team. The Worship Ensemble rehearses on Friday evenings at 6:00 p.m.
