Senior Pastor, Randy Mullinax

Randy Mullinax serves as the Lead Pastor of First Southern.
He brings 31 years of ministry experience to his role…26
years as a pastor of growing churches and 5 years as the
Evangelism/Discipleship consultant for Southern Baptist
churches in Illinois and Georgia.  His work has provided
him with opportunities to partner in strategy planning and
leading conferences with the North American Mission
Board and other state and national ministries.

Born and raised in south Georgia, Randy’s first visit to
Tucson came in 2009 when he was invited to be the
speaker for First Southern’s “Starlight Crusade”.  God gave him an instant love
for the church family and a burden for the city.  Soon a vision for leading
First Southern to become a model church for focusing on making disciples, unleashing
God’s power through prayer, and spiritual awakening for Tucson began to grow in
his heart.   After much prayer and sharing this vision with the leaders and church
family of First Southern, Randy and his wife, Jeanne, moved to Tucson in October, 2010
to give their lives toward seeing this vision become reality.

Randy is a self-described “churchaholic” who enjoys cooking, travel, the outdoors,
good food, an occasional game of golf and taking Jeanne along on new adventures.
They have two grown children, Rachel and Joshua.  Their favorite vacation
destination is any place that has a great beach.
